How long does it take to go through the exhibits?
Most visitors spend about 90 minutes exploring the museum, but you’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like. Take your time—there’s a lot to see, hear, and experience at your own pace.
How often are the tours?
Guided tours begin every 30 minutes throughout the day. Be sure to check in with Guest Services when you arrive to join the next available tour.
Can I modify my ticket reservation?
Tickets are non-refundable, but we understand that plans can change. To request a modification, please contact us directly at tickets@nmaam.org and our team will do their best to assist you.
Can I bring food and drink into the museum?
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the museum’s common areas, but not permitted inside the galleries. We appreciate your help in preserving the exhibits for all visitors to enjoy.
Are strollers allowed in the gallery?
Yes, strollers are welcome in the galleries, but we kindly ask that they not be left unattended at any time during your visit.
Where should I park?
We’re happy to share a new parking option for NMAAM visitors at the Fifth + Broadway garage, operated by Metropolis. The entrance is located on Broadway between 5th and 6th Avenues.

May I take pictures in the museum?
Yes! We encourage you to take photos and share your experience. Don’t forget to tag us @thenmaam on all platforms—we’d love to see your visit through your lens!
Can I store my luggage while I tour the museum?
Yes, luggage storage is available during your visit. Just speak with a Guest Services representative when you arrive, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
