MoreNMAAM is the only museum dedicated to educating and preserving music that was created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans. Each gallery is designed to share a different narrative and unique perspective on African American music and history, highlighting genres of music that includes gospel, blues, jazz, rhythm and blues (R&B), and hip-hop.
We’re thrilled to have you join us for an immersive journey through the rich heritage and powerful impact of African American music.
Our museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Museum hours and days are subject to change.
To provide the fullest museum experience, the last entry for all guests, including groups, is 4 PM.
Each general admission ticket includes an RFID Interactive Wristband. The wristband allows you to capture your favorite exhibits with a simple tap, create a personalized digital playlist to enjoy at home, access exclusive content based on your museum journey, and take home a communication keepsake of your visit.
