May 28, 2026 – Present
Donation Corner
MAJOR.
On May 28, 2026, the National Museum of African American Music had the honor of unveiling a donation corner display featuring American soul singer MAJOR. He graciously decided to donate selected artifacts such as music equipment, photos, clothing, and more to our growing collection. With his 2016 EP “I Am MAJOR.,” the Texas native exploded on to the scene with his debut platinum hit, “Why I Love You.” The display centers on this year being the 10th year anniversary of the song’s release. He concluded his appearance at the museum with a rose ceremony to show appreciation for his fans.
