On May 28, 2026, the National Museum of African American Music had the honor of unveiling a Donation Corner display featuring American soul singer MAJOR.

He graciously donated selected artifacts such as music equipment, photos, clothing, and more to our growing collection.

With his 2016 EP I Am MAJOR., the Texas native exploded on to the scene with his debut platinum hit, “Why I Love You.” The display centers on this year being the 10th year anniversary of the song’s release. He concluded his appearance at the museum with a rose ceremony to show appreciation for his fans.
