Tom Gambill headshot
A Nashville native, Tom Gambill brings more than 30 years of experience in facility management to NMAAM. Prior to joining the museum, he spent three decades at the Tennessee Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, where he played a key role in major initiatives and community programming.

In 2000, Tom contributed to the $20 million Gund renovation and provided behind-the-scenes support for events featuring legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Joan Baez, and many others in conjunction with the Swan Ball. He was also instrumental in creating beloved annual traditions including Holiday Lights, Easter Art Hop, and El Día.

Tom joined NMAAM in 2022 as Facilities Manager and was promoted to Director of Facilities in 2025. His deep expertise, creativity, and commitment to excellence help ensure that NMAAM’s spaces remain welcoming, functional, and inspiring for all who visit.
