Victor “VC” Caldwell brings unparalleled musical credibility to NMAAM’s community as a GRAMMY®-winning producer, jazz bassist, and acclaimed arranger. His impressive career includes producing for legendary artists like Whitney Houston, Take 6, BeBe & CeCe Winans, and Donnie McClurkin, with contributions to major film soundtracks including “The Bodyguard.” As part of Caldwell Plus Productions with his brother Cedric, VC has earned gold records and industry recognition while raising the standard of excellence in musical production. His 2020 debut album “Hide Me” showcases his continued artistic evolution and commitment to meaningful music.

Dr. Sharon Moore-Caldwell brings her expertise as a medical director for BlueCare Tennessee and her passion for community health advocacy to the museum community. With both M.D. and M.Div. degrees, Sharon understands the healing power of music and its role in cultural wellness—values that align perfectly with NMAAM’s mission. Dr. Moore-Caldwell ensure BlueCross BlueShield remains an active and continued partner with NMAAM.

The Caldwell daughters represent the next generation of engaged supporters. Victoria, a recent MBA graduate from Hampton University, has returned to Nashville with fresh perspectives on business and cultural entrepreneurship. Ruby Camille, an emerging singer-songwriter, embodies the continuing legacy of African American musical innovation that NMAAM celebrates and preserves.

During Black Music Month 2025, the Caldwells attended nearly every event, demonstrating their deep commitment to NMAAM’s programming.
