Jerry Maynard has more than a decade of experience in public policy and government relations. He has shown a proven ability to strategically and creatively reach diverse communities and build broad support for policies, initiatives, and development. An experienced strategist, he offers the Maynard Group clients an inside understanding of complex government policies, making him a valuable asset.

As At-Large Councilman, Maynard presided over the Health, Hospitals and Social Services committee and served on the Budget and Finance committee. During his tenure, Maynard led the passage of authorizing legislation for the construction of the new home for the Nashville Sounds, First Tennessee Park and the Metro Employee Healthcare Incentive Plan.

Maynard is the former deputy chairman of the Tennessee Democratic Party and has served as Tennessee’s Outreach Director for several National Political Campaigns.

He holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
