This year’s event expands across multiple museum spaces\, creating an unforgettable journey through African American musical heritage. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nLive Performances – Grammy Award-winning musicians and rising stars take center stage in the Roots Theater\, backed by DJ Smoke\, featuring performances representing each of NMAAM’s galleries from gospel to country\, R&B to hip-hop.\nInteractive Museum Experience – Explore the Rivers of Rhythm gallery with special performances\, interactive music stations\, and surprise moments throughout the evening.\nHoliday Celebration – Join us for our beloved tree lighting ceremony featuring Black Santa\, creating cherished memories in a family-friendly atmosphere.\nLocal Vendors & Craft – Support Black-owned businesses and local artisans while enjoying signature cocktails\, craft beverages\, and delicious food from Nashville’s finest vendors.\nLive & Virtual Access – Experience the event in-person or join us via livestream to participate from anywhere.\nNMAAM’s Musical Gifts Youth Village – Enjoy a fun\, family-friendly space where kids can explore music\, creativity\, and culture through hands-on activities\, drumming sessions\, story time\, and more–all while parents enjoy the event.
