Collaborating with universities, schools, and educators from across the nation, the National Museum of African American Music has developed an enriching curriculum that supports youth education at various levels. This curriculum will enhance the learning experience of students and encourage them to develop a deeper understanding of the impact African American music has on everyday life and the larger global culture.

The courses are offered to a variety of age groups starting at a 3rd-grade level and ending with high school students. Each program tackles unique topics with specific learning objectives that are relevant to any aspiring musician. The messages gleaned from the individual courses are guaranteed to have a profound impact on how participants view the importance of African Americans in music culture.
